TPSI31P1-Q1: Request for BCI, ESD and CE test report

As with every system level test, performance will depend on what standard they are testing to. It will also be very layout dependent so we will need to keep close contact with the customer through the process, but we have captured for our setup what is needed to pass ESD and CE (CISPR 25 Conducted Emissions) for TPSI2240-Q1 

ESD:

• TPSI31P1-Q1: We are unsure of how TPSI31P1 would be striked with ESD in a BMS system as the strike should hit the external FET. If the customer can provide some background of where they expect to strike, we are happy to perform the test

CE:

To clarify, is this referring to conducted emissions? If so, does the customer also need to meet radiated emissions? What class of CISPR25? Will the device be in a metal enclosure?

• TPSI31P1-Q1: Is the customer concerned about CISPR limits during the ~0.5 seconds of precharge? If not, we simply recommend tying the CE pin to EN. This will ensure there are no emissions after the cap after precharge 

BCI:

• We currently investigating this and do not have any results thus far. Is there a particular standard the customer is trying to meet? What strength level and pass criteria does the customer need to meet?
