TPS26750: Fast Role Swap capability

Tool/software:

We are working on solution for USB PD EPR dual role 48V/5A.
Is it TPS26750 support Fast Role Swap in both directional (Sink FRS and Source FRS)?

    TPS26750 does not support Fast Role Swap, however it does support normal Power Role Swap for DRP applications.

    Hi Nurhadi, 

    We currently do not have any EPR DRP PD controllers that has FRS capability. Can you provide further details on why FR_Swap is required for your application and VBUS can't be disconnected?

    Hi Raymond,

    We want to use the device to test another PD device capability (PD pre-Complient).

    So, I need complete feature of USB PD feature basically in the device.

    Hi Nurhadi, 

    FR_Swap is typically used in applications with laptop and docking which is not the target use case for TPS26750. TPS26750 can still support normal Power Role Swap which is typically sufficient for many users wanting to evaluate DRP (Dual Role Power) capabilities for their applications. FR_Swap is also not commonly seen with many applications out there such as smartphones, portable battery, and other appliances. 

    TPS26750 also supports numerous other features such as PPS, AVS, integrated I2C control with BQ25756(E), and has passed USB-IF compliance for PD spec 3.1.1.8 and 3.2.1.1.
