UC3842: start-up circuit design

Part Number: UC3842

Tool/software:

when designing a flyback converter using the UC3842 IC with an input range of 200V to 1000V and a 24V output

would it be appropriate to use a 280kohm start-up resistor?

according to the datasheet, the maximum start-up current is 1 mA.

at the low end of the input voltage 200V, the current through the resistor seems to be close to this maximum value.

is it ok?
