I am going to use the UCC28951PWR to control my PSFB; however, I am having a problem with my simulation. I am using PSIM to verify my power stage, and it is working correctly. Both CC and CV controllers are functioning; however, when I implement the OR-ing, I encounter an issue with the controller. At light loads, such as 1 A or 2 A, Vout jumps from 30 V to 50–60 V. This only occurs at light loads and not at heavy loads and when I use the diode OR-ring circuit. If I use only CV, the controller works fine
Additionally, I noticed that this problem is resolved by decreasing the diode forward voltage from 0.45 V to 0.15 V. Do you know why this happens? I am basically following this approach.
I may move forward with decreasing the diode voltage in my simulation, but I am concerned that if I implement it this way, I may observe the same behavior in the prototype.
PS: I am not using the UCC28951 PSPICE model. I am just using ideal op-amps, comparators, flip-flops, and AND gates to simulate the PSFB control stage.
