Tool/software:
UCD90160A: STATUS_VOUT in the project file shows faults and warnings in some channels
1.
I have inherited the project file (.xml) set up for voltage monitoring in 13 out of 16 channels. No GPIO configured as they are not intended to be used, no dependencies set; the purpose is just to monitor the voltages. The Status Registers tab shows STATUS_VOUT Rail #8 as Vout OV Fault and Vout OV Warning. I assume this results in the STATUS_WORD having the Vout OV Fault and the other fault and warning as well as PMBUS_ALERT being asserted. The STATUS_VOUT Rail #12 has no faults or warnings. Both rails are set up exactly same way for monitoring two 1.8V voltages. I cannot remove these faults. This is the file in my laptop, not the measurement results.
The Peak Readings tab shows non-zero voltages in some channels. Again, this is a file, not measurement. The Clear Rail #xx Peaks column is grayed out, so there is no way to set the peaks to zero. The Clear Faults button is also grayed out.
In the powered up and configured board, the PMBUS_ALERT is asserted, and I am not seeing the way de-assert or mask this ALERT.

To avoid possible misconfiguration of the inherited file, I created a completely new .xml file with one channel (Rail #1) using Fusion Digital Power Designer Offline. The Status Registers tab shows STATUS_VOUT Rail #1 Vout OV Fault, Vout OV Warning.
I have read the related thread where it was mentioned: PMBUS_ALERT is indicator for any event that UCD sees, not only for the power, but also communication. But the red status comes up during file creation, before any electrical activity.
What is the reason for these faults and PMBUS_ALERT? Is there a way to clear them? Why two channels that are set up exactly in the same way show different status?UCD90160A 77d Project.xml
