Tool/software:
Dear TI Support Team,
I am evaluating the TPS923654DRRR for a high-voltage LED driver application with the following conditions:
Input Voltage: 8 V
Output: 36 V / 1 A (constant current to LEDs)
However, in our testing, the output current seems to be limited to around 500 mA, and the device appears to enter burst mode or intermittent operation. We suspect this may be due to the switch current limit of the device.
We are considering using the TPS923654HMDMTR, which has a higher peak switch current capability, but we would like to confirm the following:
Is the TPS923654x series suitable for this application (8 V → 36 V, 1 A output)?
If not, would you recommend an alternative TI solution for this power level and conversion ratio?
Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
