LM25576

From Power Bench, I have a design for an inverting power supply, +12V in and -5.2V out @ 1.5A.  My question is: is the EP pad connected internally to PGND or AGND? In this design, PGND and AGND are the negative rail. I want to connect EP to a heat sink that is at ground potential.

  • Hello Rick,

I apologize for the very late reply, somehow your question fell through the cracks.

The EP is internally connected and must be at the lowest voltage, typically GND, but -5.2V in your case.

The AGND and PGND pins must be at the same potential. Unfortunately, you will have to provide some heat sink area at the negative voltage.

    Regards,
