Is there any protection for OCP in the IC for short circuit that occur at the battery output?

    Hi Dinesh,

    Yes.  If its a soft short and V(BAT) > VSHORT, cycle by cycle current limit turns off the internal power FET if the inductor current exceeds the current.  If V(BAT) pin falls below VSHORT, the output current is clamped to ISHORT.
