LM25190: Fixed Output Selection and VCC Behavior When EN Is Low

Part Number: LM25190

Tool/software:

Dear TI Support Team,

In the LM25190 description, it states that tying FB→VCC selects a 12 V fixed output and tying FB→AGND selects a 5 V fixed output (see Table 6-1).

It also notes that this configuration is latched and can only be changed after the device is powered down (VCC falls below the UVLO falling threshold) and then powered up again (VCC rises above approximately 4.8 V).

To ensure we implement this correctly, could you please confirm the following?

  1. Does pulling EN low turn off VCC?
Specifically, when EN is driven below the shutdown threshold, does the internal VCC bias regulator turn off so that VCC decays below its UVLO, thereby clearing the fixed-output latch? Or, to change between 5 V and 12 V fixed modes, is it mandatory to power-cycle VIN instead?

Thank you for your support, and please let us know if additional information is needed.
