Hi, TI expert

We have a question from a customer regarding the use of BQ27220EVM-744.

1. Please confirm which version of BQSTUDIO I should use. (Currently, 1.3.42 is installed.)

2. Do I just need to collect the Log using the top Start Log or do I need to use a separate method?

3. When saving logs, they are saved with the *.log extension. Is there a way to save them as *.csv files?

4. Could you please provide me with a sample Configuration File (1 ea) and Data Log Files (6 ea) for comparison purposes?

5. Can I inquire about the log collection time? (Is it sufficient to collect only the time until the battery cell is disconnected?)

6. TI's bqStudio software utility, GPC Packager, is not included with the 1.3.42 installation.
I'm wondering if there's a separate installation file.

Please guide the customer to use BQ27220EVM-744 properly according to the procedure.

Please check. Thank you,

  • Hello,

This question has been assigned within the team and will be followed up when possible. In the meantime please attach associated .gg/.log file.

    Thank you,
    Alan

  • 1. Your version is fine.

    2. This is the only method to log all results from the gauge.

    3. The log files are already comma separated values so you can simply rename the file to .csv using Windows Explorer.

    4. We do not have examples that we can share on E2E. The GPC CEDV user's guide shows how the log file must look like (both content and format).

    5. bqStudio automatically adds the correct time stamp, starting at 0s when you click on "Start Log".

    6. This was removed as it's easier to just create 6 separate log files and follow the instructions from GPC CEDV.
