I'm reviewing the recommended layout for TPS54202, and while it's recommended to be routed internally (or on bottom layer), typical component sizes are going to make the switch node nearly 10mm long if we follow the recommended design:
I realize the operating frequency of this regulator is relatively low (500kHz) compared to other similar options, but I'm still a bit concerned.
Are there any other recommended layouts which help to get the inductor closer to the SW node of the IC? Ideally I'd get the input caps out of the way by moving them just under the VIN pin and flooding a continuous ground under the IC to connect the input and output cap ground returns.
