REF34-Q1: Reduce COUT capacitance

Hi team,

I am considering to reduce COUT capacitance for cost reduction in below configuration.

COUT is recommended to select between 1uF to 10uF in the datasheet. 

Could you please advise which parameter (PSRR...) will be affected by reducing this capacitance. 

Could you also share me the PSRR plot up to 10MHz if available?

    Reducing load capacitance will at least affect the performance of the reference when subjected to transient loads, which can be seen in figures 8-10 through 8-13. I will check with my team to confirm any other specifications that will be affected by reducing the load capacitance.

    We do not have any additional PSRR plots beyond what is given in the datasheet.

  • After speaking with the team, I would like to add that REF34-Q1 is specified to be stable with an output capacitance from 0.1µF to 10µF, not 1µF to 10µF.

    The main concern is the transient load performance, but the device will be stable down to 0.1µF.
