TPS2H160-Q1: Output leakage current

Part Number: TPS2H160-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear support,

I have a couple of questions regarding the output leakage currents specified in the datasheet, specifically I(ol,off) and Ilkg(out), which are defined under different conditions.

- I(ol,off) is sinking -75 uA (current flowing into the pin OUTx) under conditions VINx = 0 V, VDIAG_EN = 5 V, VVS = VOUTx = 13.5 V, TJ =125°C, open load
- Ilkg(out) is specified as +0.5 µA (current flowing out of the OUTx pin) under the following conditions: VVS = 13.5 V, VINx = VDIAG_EN = VOUTx = 0 V

That suggest that the state of VDIAG_EN might affect the leakage current value.

1) Could you please clarify the value of I(ol,off) when VDIAG_EN = 0 , while keeping the other conditions the same?. Does I(ol,off) decrease (in absolute value) in this scenario?
2) I would also like to know the value of I(ol,off) at different temperatures and VOUTx levels.

Thank you for your support
Best regards

  • Hi Joaquin,

1)The value of I(ol,off) decreases(in absolute value) when diagnostics is disabled as their are less paths for current to flow through the device, however that is not something that we can give a specific value for.

    2) We don't test for I(ol,off) at different temperatures, If you would like to find the values of I(ol,off) in different conditions I would recommend using the EVM in conditions similar to your final products environment to get the best understanding of the device
