I want to output 0.83V with the TPS62871Y1QWRXSRQ1.
I think I'll need to set it via I2C.
In that case, does VSEL need to be set to "Short to GND"?
Is I2C setting possible when it's set to "47kΩ to VIN"?

Thanks for reaching out to us.
If you choose to use TPS62871Y1 and short the VSEL pin to GND, it will have an initial Vout of 0.75V. Then, the output voltage can be changed to 0.83V via I2C after startup phase.
Another possible option is to add an external FB divider resistors across Vout and VOS pin to make Vout = 0.83V from startup without the need of a I2C command. Please refer to the app note link below for details.

Or is this only possible with the TPS62873Y1QWRXSRQ1?

TPS6287xY1QWRXSRQ1 can have a start-up voltage of 0.8V, 0.75V and 0.875V as listed in the box below. So, using TPS62871Y1QWRXSRQ1 and placing 47K between VSELand GND, the start-up voltage is set at 0.8V, with I2C address of 0x43.

I have understood that the TPS62871Y1QWRXSRQ1 can be controlled via I2C with "47kΩ to VIN".
I think it would be better to remove the separator line from "VSEL Settings" as shown below to avoid any confusion.
