I'm an EE intern looking into the possibility of charging Li-ion batteries where solar and/or USB are input power options. This chip appears to be capable of that (in conjunction with the TPS25751 as it is on the USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01) but looking at the datasheet, the application notes, and the design guides, I'm not seeing anything that directly shows how this might be accomplished, and frankly I'm overwhelmed with the information available.
Is priority switching between MPPT and USB-PD possible/practical with this chip? If so, what might be a high-level approach to accomplishing this? Assuming both solar and USB are connected, the USB-PD would be the priority input.
