Hi All,

I have a question about the TPS55189-Q1.

Which is effective: setting the EN pin high, or setting the MODE Register (Address = 6h) to 0b (output disabled)?
I would like to know which takes priority: the hardware setting or the register setting.

The two setting is "AND" relationship.

I understand that no output will occur unless both the terminal settings and register settings are set.
I understand that it cannot be operated standalone and that it must be configured via I2C, is this correct?

Yes, and if you don't want to use I2C, you can choose TPS551892-Q1.

Thanks for your answer.
The customer wants to output immediately after power-on, and then adjust the output voltage via I2C.
As with the TPS55189, is EN for the TPS55289 an AND operation of the hardware setting and register setting?

Yes, for TPS55289 it is as well necessary to program via I2C.
