    1. The TPS4811 device is a high side switch controller. This device can accurately connect supplies with loads and also offers a number of protections and monitoring abilities. It does not itself boost voltage from the VBATT to the VOUT, but can support systems with these applications downstream to the device. 
    2. The charge pump is supplies via the Vs pin and integrates a constant current source to charge the CBST. There is also a comparator between the SRC and BST pins that will maintain an adequate 10-12V necessary between the gate and the source to ensure the FET gate is turned on and fully enhanced. 
    3. Can you clarify how you intend to use this device as a boost converter? The TPS4811 does have current sensing pins, which rely on detecting the voltage differential across the shunt resistor to internally compare against set current thresholds via the RISCP and RIWRN resistors.
