TPS92515-Q1: fit rate

Do you have failure rate (FIT) value of TPS92515QDGQRQ1 based on IEC 62380?

The FIT value that is available on TI website is too low to be real

    Hi Daria,

    Why do you think the FIT rate is too low? Many of our devices have FIT rates at these levels. Note that FIT rate is determined by the flat region of the bath tub curve in which failures are far less likely to occur.

    We do not have IEC 62380 specifically, the FIT rate shown is the total FIT rate.

    Hi Zach,

    Customer is using normative reliability standards to evaluate failure rate of safety critical components as required by ISO26262.

    Below are some a screen shots of the reliability standard SN29500. Could you tell  which values are valid for this product or not?

    Hi Daria,

    ISO26262 is the functional safety standard. TPS92515-Q1 was not designed to be functional safety-compliant as this part was released before functional safety was commonly adopted by the industry.

    We only provide this type of data for devices that are specified functional safety-compliant or functional safety-capable.
