Hi experts,

In the FAQ post, it explain the need of Rboot to increase deadtime, when there is a Cboot overcharge event.

My customer seems like having a similar issue, execpt their product is already mass production. And they found fail rate of 3%. Once they swap the UCC21521, the circuit can work again.

My question is: will this Cboot overcharge issue may causes the UCC21521 to damage?

    Hi Barton,

    What types of failures are the customer seeing in the systems?

    UCC21520 and UCC21521 should be fairly similar in design and should both be seeing similar performance in the system.

    Additionally, if you can share the schematic/layout I can review this to spot any potential concerns.
