I have the BQ25756 integrated into a new design, but am having trouble with the JEITA T1 cold threshold. It appears that the TS_ADC measurement is reading low, which is preventing me from reaching my T1 threshold.
I switched over to the eval board and Battery Management Studio to confirm. I did the following:
- Disconnected JP6 on the EVB
- Configured the ADC for continuous conversion, 15bit resolution, averaging enabled
The ADC result in BQStudio is 83.4961%. A multimeter reads TS and REGN as 4.25V and 5.00V, which is 85% This gives me an error of 1.5% With the default RT1 and RT2 configuration, that is the difference between -40°C and -26°C.
Is that error expected? Is there any way to improve accuracy?
