UC1901-SP: IC operation

Part Number: UC1901-SP

Tool/software:

Hi All,

Greetings!

I`m using IC 'UC-1901J' as an error amplifier. However, I wish to monitor the generated square waveform at output pin on Driver A & Driver B. I have set the carrier frequency 1 MHz by choosing the Rt=1kOhm & Ct= 1nF.

Other test conditions are

Vin = 20V (This voltage slowly increased to 20 V)

The same 20V was resistor divided & applied (1.5V) to Inverting pin of IC

Non-Inverting pin is shorted to Vref pin

A feedback resistor of 100KOhm is connected between COMP & INV pin with a series resistor of 10KOhm connected in between output voltage divider (1.5V) & INV PIN; setting the differential gain 20dB.

No load is connected to Driver A & Driver B pin of the IC (Not even magnetic feedback).

So, with all above mentioned conditions I couldn`t observed any voltage waveform on Driver A & Driver B (Differential voltage) pins while I varied the Vin/output voltage from 0 to 20 V.

Kindly share your valuable opinion why there is no waveform; Is it because I didn`t apply any load (magnetic feedback or peak detector) on Driver A & Driver B pins?

Best Regards,

Ankit Singh
