Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP390, BQ25505
Tool/software:
Hello,
i use the BQ25504 in a outdoor application so its important to stop charging of the battery below the freezing point.
Since the BQ25504 has no EN pin my approach would be the following: use a simple temperature sensor like the TMP390 and change the value of the resistive divider which controlls VBAT_OV.
So when the temperature drops below my setpoint VBAT_OV is set to a low value and charging stops. But this will result in VBAT_OV goes bellow VBAT_OK_HYST and VBAT_OK. Does someone use the same approach or has experience with VBAT_OV values lower then VBAT_OK_HYST and VBAT_OK values, does this cause undefined behavior of the part?
Thank you
Florian
