I have a customer who I have notified of this thread. They are having issues with the TPS23730.
Using this for its intended purpose, and the schematic is almost a direct copy of the EVM that TI provides, but they are having an issue getting the thing to actually turn on the pass FET and start up the system.
The PD and PSE sides are kind of talking and get through classification (with different waveforms for different CLSA, CLSB resistors). they can even get to the point that 55v gets applied to the controller, but then it seems like the pass FET never connects VSS and RTN.
Do you have any thoughts on this?
