I want comfirm if TPS61088-Q1 can support the power design of VIN 4.5V,VOUT 5 V, Iout max is 5A,and frequency is 2.2mhz .

           I check them with Webench，find the MAX switch frequency ony up to 513khz, Is this reasonable?

    Hello Haiyang,

    Ok, this does not make sense. There is some issue with the tool. The expert for the device is out of the office due to public holiday. Please expect a more accurate answer at the end of this week.

    Hi Haiyang,

    There are two limitations to support the condition, the one is minimum on-time, the duty cycle is about 10%~ so getting too small on-time when operating at 2.2Mhz. I think that's why the webench tool set the max frequency at 513kHz.

    The second one is the thermal limitation, the device gets higher switching loss with higher switching frequency and high current, the thermal performance is related to the layout, power dissipation way, and needs a bench test to verify if it is ok with 2.2MHz.
