TPS61170EVM-280: GUI not working

Hi 

We ordered recently a TPS61170EVM-280 from Diigikey. The box contains the USB interface adaptor and the EVM board. With a bit of hassle, I was able to locate the software identified as  'slvc422a.zip ' . I have installed the software on a win 11 machine but was not able to make it work !!! I receive a message "Error communicating with usb device". I have tried to execute the software in a compatibility mode win XP and win 7 mode without avail. Please could you help me out on resolving this issue ?

    The device is an old one and the software and the adapter could be not the suitable version.

    I have reviewed the link that you have provided, it seems many had the same issue withe the GUI software that is not compatible with Win 11 or Win 10.. In the tread someone mentioned that by using the  Fusion Power Designer app was able to detect the USB Interface Adaptor 2022. I went ahead and installed the application and indeed was able to detect the USB adaptor by this application therefore the problem is in the SLVC422a software that is not 

    compatible with win 11. Now as suggested in the forum to try with older version of windows but there a  difficulty to get a  hand on one as the corporate upgraded all machines to win 11. The normal approach would be to update the GUI software and not the way around !!!    Can you suggest a suitable solution in order to move ahead ? I appreciate your effort on this request.

    Hi Naji,

    I have tested on my win 11 system, and it looks works.

    The main difference is that I used the former adapter writes 2006. I also find that 2022 version adapter is not recognized.

    Here are two main solutions:

    1. I will connect GUI and adapter team to check the problem, and it may take some time.

    2. You can apply for a 2006 version adapter, or I can send one to you.

    By the way, what is the difference between the 2006 and the 2022 version ?
