I am designing a two-layer 1.6 mm thick PCB which requires a 5 VDC supply to the processor on it. However, the board has been designed to accept 12 VDC inputs and consequently, LM2678S-5.0 (TO-263 package) is to be used for this DC-DC conversion, which I am designing to place on the Bottom Layer of the PCB. I am aiming for a max output current of 2 ADC. I am attachin the layout of the entire power conversion section which I designed having followed the layout guidlines as provided with the datasheets, mainly aiming to place the diode and capacitors acap to the IC. Please help me look out for potential issues with the design and suggest workarounds and optimizations.
