Hello support
We design a LED Module Panel using TLC59581RTQR and make it working with the NOVASTAR Suite.
The panel is working correctly and the configuration is saving in the NOVASTAR Receiving card. Therefore when power on/off the module the pattern shown on the Panel is not correct anymore.
Novastar investigated and ask you opinion about it.
(Just an information, if we modifiy RGB, color are wrong but the power on/off works perfectly)
Here’s the message from novastar :
- Occurrence Timing
The issue occurs after the module is powered off and then powered on again.
We retrieved data through the LCT backdoor before the module was powered off, and again after the module exhibited abnormal display behavior.
The comparison shows that the data remained completely identical in both cases, indicating that the receiving card consistently outputs correct data throughout the process. - Analysis of the Display Abnormality After Power Cycling
The R&D team suspects that the problem is caused by a timing error in the driver IC during the power-off/on process.
Once this timing error occurs, re-sending the correct rcfgx file cannot restore normal display. Instead, it is necessary to send an incorrect rcfgx file first to disrupt the current timing state of the IC, after which the display can return to normal. - Regarding the Disappearance of the Issue After Changing RGB Order
This phenomenon is rather unusual. The R&D team believes that it is also related to differences in driver IC timing behavior during the power cycling process.
What is your opinion ?
Thanks a lot for your answer and help
Our goal is to produce 10 000 panel per a year.
