Hello,
My costumer is evaluating the UCC55880 board and he is facing the following issue.
"I supplied the board with +5V at test points 19 and TP21 as provided in the instructions and with +24V at TP16 and TP18.
After a short time (approx. 10 seconds) the board has drawn >500mA current (set limit on the power supply) at the 24V input.
It turns out that the IC UC5 is getting hot.
Have you ever seen such behavior with one of these EVMs?
After the supply to UC5 was disconnected, the board worked again."
Do you have any suggestion on what is causing this issue and what they could check?
