We performed the learning cycle for the bq40z50-R5 pack, but because the pack capacity exceeded the gauge’s range, we set the current scale factor to 1/4 to complete the learning cycle successfully.
Now, our customer wants to read the actual current (1:1 scale) through SMBus communication — but without changing or recalibrating the current calibration values in the device.
Is there any way to configure the bq40z50 so that the SMBus-reported current (via command 0x0A / Current) reflects the full-scale (1/1) current value, while keeping the internal calibration and learned data (Qmax, FCC, etc.) as they are?
If not, is the only way to change this by recalibrating or adjusting the current scale in Data Memory?
