TPSM861252EVM: TPSM861252EVM Resets Output when VIN Falls Below 4V

Part Number: TPSM861252EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPSM861252,

I am interested in using the TPSM861252 because my battery powered application requires a converter that accepts a wide input voltage range to generate a 3.3V output voltage. The primary power path is designed to switch between a battery voltage that will range from 4.2V – 3.5V and a DC voltage of 10V, so I need to be prepared for both input cases.

I bought the TPSM861252EVM evaluation kit because the TPSM861252 chip seemed perfect for this application. While testing this evaluation kit though, I noticed that when I attempt to simulate the battery voltage draining from 4.2V to 3.5V by decreasing the voltage ouput from my power supply, this board seems to shut off the output voltage when the input voltage crosses 4V. Is there a reason this part would not be able to handle an input voltage that decreases below 4V?
