TPS63900: change the parameters of Pspice-for-TI

Part Number: TPS63900
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PSPICE-FOR-TI

As TPS63900 was not listed in the topic of "Simulation & design tool," I would like to ask a question in Hardware development & troubleshooting.

Hi all,

About TPS63900 of Pspice-for-TI
I would like to change the parameters as below for simulation.

VIN:4V
Vo1:3V
Vo2:3V

However, even if I change the parameters below, it is not reflected in the simulation result.

About VIN, I could change it by "Pspice →Edit Simulation Profile→Analysis→Parametric Sweep→Global parameter." but I can't change any other status.

Is there any way?

Ryusuke

  • Hi Ryusuke,

Thanks for reaching out. The expert will reply to you next Monday.

  • Hi Ryusuke,

I thought you may stop the simulation too quickly after 1.8V Vout is reached. I had same problem that the Vout is always 1.8V no matter how the Vo1 and Vo2 is set.

Well, after Vout gets to 1.8V, if just wait for 2ms more simulation time, the correct 3.3V Vout will be reached (I tried Vo1 = Vo2 = 3.3V on my side).

Here are my parameter set and simulation waveform for your reference.

  • Hi Lei,

Do you mean the simulation stops at 1.8 V?
I would like to know how to set it up.
Please tell me how to set it up. Or is there a manual for Pspice-for-TI?

    Best Regards,

    Ryusuke

  • Hi Ryusuke,

I think your problem is that after you change the Vo1 = Vo2 = 3V, the Vout in simulation has no change and it's still 1.8V if I understand correctly.

There is no changes at all (only set Vo1 = Vo2 = 3V), then just wait for 3ms simulation time and the correct simulation result should come.

    Please have a try again.

    Regards

    Lei

  • Hi Lei,

I changed the parameter and changed the run time to 4 ms and reflected the simulation result up to 3 ms, but the result did not change.
Is the change method wrong? Regarding the change method, could you tell me which status was changed and from where?

Also, even though I changed it in the Lib file, the VOUT remained at 1.8 V.

    I would appreciate your opinion.

    Best Regards,

    Ryusuke

  • Hi Ryusuke,

Please send me your simulation project (the whole folder) and then I can try on my side.

    Regards

    Lei
