BQ76920: BQ76920 Questions with SRP/SRN and SCD fault

Part Number: BQ76920

Hello,

I made a boneheaded error and didn't notice that SRP and SRN are reverse in my schematic of how The datasheet says to connect them. I have SRN connected to the GND/BATT- side of the sense resistor, and SRP to the DSG FET side.

Device turns on, I'm able to read registers, but I have a constant SCD fault. I can clear it, but it comes back within ~1 second. Is this related to the SRP/SRN flip, or should I keep looking for other issues?

Thank you

  • I wanted to add that I've tried pin swapping 42 & 43, the CC REG does reverse (800mV vs -800mV). That said, I still show a discharge short circuit with no charger or load attached to the cells. Does this schematic look correct, or is there something specific I should be looking for that would cause SCD to be thrown persistently?
