Hi!
I have one PCB providing power, and another PCB with the BQ25898 and a battery. In some situations it is important to be able to connect the two PCB's, and have the receiving PCB recognize the connections without actually drawing any significant charging current.
In my application I would like to power the BQ25898 enough that it turns on and recognizes VBUS, but does not begin to charge the battery. A very small charging current could be acceptable.
I would like to acheive this without changes to software/register bits or additional hardware on the receiving PCB. The power providing PCB can be changed/designed in what ever way is needed.
Is it possible by changing the VBUS voltage to a specific level, pulsing VBUS, or any other clever solution that you could think of?
Thank you!
Kind regards,
Niklas
