Good day.

Please help me to check my design.

Can I use FA2900-AL in this case?

    Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Here are the comments on the design:

    1. Remove C5.

    2. Use Vss for input ground. And please separate VSS and GND_POE.

    3. DT connects to GND_POE through a resistor.

    4. Change the transformer polarity on the primary side.

    5. Use a diode with a voltage rating not less than 60V.

    FA2900-AL should be working fine. Please check the polarity of the windings in your schematic. 

    You can use TPS23754EVM-420 EVM: Evaluation Module for TPS as the reference for the schematic.

    I'll use your advice in the next version of the project.
    2. By the way, what might happen if I don't separate the POE_GND and VSS grounds?
    3. What is the nominal of resistor i need to use? 10K?

    The detection will fail if VSS and POE_GND are not separated.

    2.What is the nominal of resistor I need to use? 10K?

    Sorry here for comment 3 on DT pin. Your DT pin connection is correct. Please keep DT connected to VB pin to disable GAT2.

    3. DT connects to GND_POE through a resistor.
