TPS62175: Request for Drop-in Replacement for TPS62175DQCR

We are using TPS62175DQCR in our design for 20V → 2V buck conversion. Due to supply constraints, we are looking for a drop-in replacement with the same WSON-10 footprint and pinout. Application details: - Input voltage: 20V - Output voltage: 2V - Output current: ~500mA - Package: WSON-10 (3x2 mm) Please suggest the best alternate part from TI that can be used as a direct replacement or with minimal changes.

    Hi Kamali,

    We searched for the alternate part for TPS62175 in WSON-10 footprint.

    We have an alternate part with part number TPS62932, but it has SOT-5X3 footprint.

    We are looking for drop-in replacement options with the same WSON-10 (3×2 mm) footprint and pinout. Could you please suggest three alternate TI parts that are closest to TPS62175DQCR and can be used as direct replacements or with minimal changes?

    I checked with our marketing team, currently we don't have P2P for this device in WSON package, but we have sufficient device (TPS62175) in the inventory.

    Hi Manish, 

    Thank you for confirming that there are no pin-to-pin alternates in WSON-10 for TPS62175. 

    For risk mitigation and future planning, could you please suggest three alternate TI parts that are closest to TPS62175DQCR in terms of:

    • Input voltage range (up to 20 V)
    • Output voltage (2 V adjustable or fixed)
    • Output current (~500 mA)

      Even if they are not P2P, we are looking for options that require minimal design changes (e.g., same family or similar footprint).

      This will help us prepare backup options in case of any supply constraints later.

    Thank you for suggesting TPS62932, TPS62933, and TPS54338 as alternates for TPS62175DQCR. I have reviewed these options, and they meet the electrical specifications; however, the mechanical packages differ significantly from the original part. The original part uses a **10-WSON (3 mm × 2 mm) ** footprint, while the suggested parts are larger and not footprint-compatible. This means PCB layout changes will be required. Could you please confirm: - Are these parts intended as functional alternates only? - Do you have any footprint-compatible options from TI or similar family to minimize redesign?

    Hi Kamali,

    We searched from our end, currently we don't have same package device, but we have enough parts what you are looking for, all this device has same electrical specification which you discussed in this thread. 

    And yes, if you want to use this following device TPS62932, TPS62933 and TPS54338 you have to change your layout.

    But we have sufficient device in our inventory.

    So please relax, if you need more, please let us know, I will talk to my marketing team.

    But currently we don't have any device with same package and footprint.
