TPS2490: unexpected latchoff

Part Number: TPS2490

hello

i have used this part for current limiting short pulses of about 5A for about 30ms . ive used this part in this appication in the past with a few of this pulses one after another have not had a problem.

in one of my design we have a sitution that  when the first pulse is finished the tps2490 turn off (dissconnects the fet) and stays off as if latchoff mode.

i have shorted the c_timer output so the timer voltages stays 0 . the VPROG is conected to the VCC through 47.5K for the power limit protectoin is also not active .

why is the part going into latch off?

from the scope i see that after the first pulse is over due to the sharp di/di and due to high inductance in the return loop i see that there is a short oscallation on the voltage to the IC and the voltage falls for a short time of 1-2us bellow 9V ...i would expect this to turn off the IC and restart right away not to go into latch off ... is there any reason i missed that causes latch off ?
