Dear TI Team,

Could you please let me know how i can achieve the below ripple and transient specs with the TPS53667 + CSD96497Q5MC (2 stages) solution in my design? Below are my design requirements.

Design requirements:
Input voltage: 12V
Output voltage: 0.75V +/-5%
Output current: 50A DC RMS, 60A PEAK

DC ripple SPEC = +/- 3%
Transient SPEC = +/- 5%

  • Hi Shyam,

    The DC ripple and transient voltage performance are impacted by a number of factors:

    • Component values on the COMP pin
    • RAMP level (either set by OCL-R pinstrap or using PMBUS command).
    • Value of power stage inductors and output capacitance

    I will check if we have any tools to help select component values for TPS53667. I will get back to you by Monday (11/24).

  • Hi Shyam,

    I have not been able to find a tool or calculator for TPS53667 component selection. The ripple and transient spec you listed are attainable with this device, but you will need to adjust the COMP pin component values based on your testing.
