TMDS1MTRPFCKIT or DRV8412-C2-KIT to control a motor with accurate position. Trade-offs?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8412

One of my customers asked me the question below. Any ideas? Thx!

I have been looking at the Ti website to better understand the motor control options (http://www.ti.com/lit/ml/slyb165c/slyb165c.pdf ).  To control a motor with accurate position control (stepper or servo) which of these kits is an option and what are the tradeoffs between them

  1. http://www.ti.com/tool/tmds1mtrpfckit
  2. http://www.ti.com/tool/drv8412-c2-kit

Can the C2000 Piccolo F28035 MCU controlCard on these boards be replaced with a http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdxcncdh52c1 which provides 2 channels 12-bit ADC so that and external sensor can provide input to be used in motor position control?
