Is it possible to use an eFuse (i.e. TPS16630) set the current limit to 2A, however, start a motor which requires for a short timeframe ~4s an elevateed current of 5A?

Any recommendations for such a circuitry?

That inrush current comes during start-up or after start-up ?

it occurs when the motor will be activated - so, it is during start-up.

Hi Alex,

In this device it's not possible to set different current limit during start-up and steady state.

I think customer wants to set 2A as current limit and want to allow upto 5A current for 5Sec.

We have other devices which has iTimer function like TPS1686 but 5 Sec looks to be very high. Can you confirm this value.
