Hi,
My application needs Charging from a USB power supply + OTG Support with 500 mA. Found BQ24140 can do that and selected that.
Now finding it difficult to do the layout/manufacture this board since BQ24140 comes with only package - 30 DSBGA and needs "6 mil via on pad" and it is very expensive
Have following questions. Can someone help me please ?
1. I am looking for a chip which can do similar function of BQ24140 ( Battery Charger / 500 mA OTG / adaptor detection ) , but in a bigger package .
2. Is there a way to do the layout to avoid "via on pad" . ( I need I2C signals shich are in the inner layer ), I can do 3 mil routing.
3. Is there a plan to bring out another package of the same chip from TI soon ?
