Hello TI Team,
I have a question regarding the behavior of the TX interrupt pin in LM3644, specifically its interaction with IR Mode.
According to the datasheet, the TX pin is described as a Flash Interrupt input intended to reduce LED current during high battery current conditions (e.g. PA transmit), by forcing the LED current into Torch level during a Flash event.
However, IR Mode (M1/M0 = 01) also supports relatively high LED current, and the target current in IR Mode is programmed via the same Flash Brightness Registers used by Flash Mode.
My questions are:
Does the enabled TX interrupt function affect IR Mode operation, or is it only active during Flash Mode?
If TX is asserted while operating in IR Mode, will it reduce the IR LED current?
Clarification on this behavior would help us determine whether additional system-level current reduction is required during RF transmission when using IR illumination.
