BQ25622E: Battery charging current dropping when VBAT > VSYSMIN

Part Number: BQ25622E

When battery voltage is below the VSYSMIN value set in the IC registers, charging current is nominal. Once VBAT rises above VSYSMIN, the charge current appears to drop by around 50 mA. This is independent of what value of VSYSMIN is set.

Is this to be expected, and is there some setting that can compensate for this effect?

  • Hi,

Could you please provide more details before and after "the charge current appears to drop by around 50 mA." respectively?

1.The charger operating conditions such as VBUS (voltage at VBUS pin), IVBUS, VBAT (voltage at BAT pin), IBAT, VSYS, ISYS.
2.All the register readings including the ADC readings. The register readings help to understand the charger operating status and fault conditions if any.

    Thanks,

    Ning.
