Part Number: BQ25690
Hello!
I'm exploring solutions for a circuit that I'm working on. THe BQ25690 is almost perfect, except that the current for the external bypass circuit is limited to 5A. I want to be able to put 10A through an external FET.
I was wondering, if I:
- Decrease R_AC and R_BATT from 10mOhm to 5mOhm,
- Do not update the R_BAT_SNS or R_AC_SNS registers.
- Set I_INDPM to 1500mA (such that the actual current allowed would only be 3A).
- Set I_ICHG to 1.25A (To limit actual battery charge to 2.5A)
Would I then be able to push 10A through the external bypass FET? It seems that I'd be respecting all of the device limits, I would just size the external FET and current sense resistor to be able to handle 10A. Is there anything else I should be looking out for here?
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks!
