LM5122: Constant settings for interleaved operation

Part Number: LM5122

Hello,

I am considering interleaved operation.
Because operation is unstable due to the effects of noise, I would like to add a 22pF capacitor to pin 8 on the slave side as a noise countermeasure, as shown in red in the attached diagram.
Is there any problem with adding a capacitor in this way?
The attached diagram is an excerpt from the Interleave evaluation board documentation.

Best regards,

  • Hello Kaji,

Thanks for using the e2e forum.
If you see strong noise on the RT/SYNCIN, I see no problem in adding a small capacitor at this pin.
Too much noise on this pin could lead to abnormal switching cycle times. If the capacitor does not suffice to stabilize the oscillator signal on the secondary side, it might be necessary to have a look at the layout as well.

    Best regards,
    Niklas
