TPS61289: Boost application

Hi,

If I use TPS61289, Vin = (1) 0.9~1V (2) 10V, set Vout = 5V.

In case (2)Vin = 10V, the output will into bypass mode become 10V?

Or it may cause IC abnormal?

    Hi Jeff,

    TPS61289 does not support bypass operation. Please select a buck-boost like TPS55288 or TPS55289.

    Hi Travis,

    Since TI buck-boost have not support very low voltage ~ 0.9~1V.

    So we want check if TPS61289 can support in  Vout = 5V when Vin =10V, can't fixed output to 5V is fine,

    Next stage we have 12V input linear charger to support 10Vin. So let boost converter into likes bypass mode is fine.

    I just want check TPS61289 how to work if when Vin> Vout condition.
