Hi !

I am new on this topic, so thank you for your patience ;-)

Today I've got EV2400 I would like to read parameters of my battery (only read). I don't know what kinde of gas gauges I have - I don't whant to open my battery. I would like to connect with my battery with SMBus port.

Could you tell me what kinde of software should I use?

Any TI bq Evaluation software(bqEVSW) will read all SBS compliant information from a gas gauge. Uncheck non-SBS items and scan. Make sure to install the EV2400 support components after bqEVSW is installed.

I have another question - is there a way to know what kinde of gas gauge is inside the battery? As I mean before I don't want to open battery :-)

If it is a TI device then it will be detected by the particular bqEVSW if the bqEVSW for that device is installed.

If you know the pack maker then most will have a tracking system based on serial number.
