DC/DC Step up from 9V to 200V to drive a vaccum tube

Hello there everyone,

I'm looking for a solution to build a DC/DC step up converter from 9V to 150V or 200V to drive a vaccum tube (12AX7-like), and Io = 200mA. I have already searched the internet but didn't find any  similar design. I also tried the webench tool from TI/National.

I was wondering if I'll need to use a transformer to achieve higher voltages. If so, what are the specifications I need?; can I find a commercial component or do I need to buy a custom one?

Also, if possible, using PTH components.

Thanks in advance,

André.
