BQ76952: Li-S Compatability

Hi,

Can the BQ76952 be used to monitor Li-S batteries, or is it exclusive to the chemistries listed in the datasheet (Li-ion, Li-Po, LiFe-PO4)? I'm currently designing under the assumption that to use it with Li-S batteries would only entail changing voltage thresholds during initial configuration, but I wanted to ensure there is nothing within the chip preventing its use for monitoring cells of other lithium chemistries.

    Hello Wallis,

    The Li-S battery chemistry allows for voltages below 2V/cell from my understanding, is that correct? The BQ76952 accuracy specifications are warrantied above 2V per cell:

    If the accuracy of the cell voltage measurements at voltages lower than 2V is not a critical concern, then this should be fine.
