Hi,


during the last days I was cycling my pack between 85% and 100% RSOC without any noticeable problems. Today I found out that Qmax was reset to the initial values of the golden image. Unfortunately I'm not sure when this happened, but I know that it was lower than the initial values about 10 days ago.

Do you know under which conditions Qmax changes back to the GoldenImage-Values?

Also, it would be great to know which parameter the Reset-Command actually resets.

    Could you indicate what fuel gauge IC did you see this on?

    Sorry, forgot to mention that - I use the BQ20Z65 EVM.

    edit: I just remember that I actually might have re-programmed the golden image to the IC.

    Anyhow, is it possible that initial values are set again? and the question 'which parameter the Reset-Command actually resets' remains...

    Martin,

    Do you have a GG file you can attach? There aren't any circumstances that I can think of where the Qmax values would reset back to the golden image values. A reset command simply reinitializes the RAM registers, which include all SBS and extended SBS commands. A reset has no affect on data flash values.

    Unfortunately I don't have any gg-File of the time when Qmax was not set to golden image values, I just stored the Qmax and Chg dod at eoc manually as follows:

    A gg-File of the time after Qmax was set to golden image values is attached. Don't be irritated by the high (low) max (min) temperatures, those are due to replacing the thermistor by a potentiometer for some tests...

    I don't see a gg file attached. The data you you have given doesn't tell me much without the golden gg file.

    My fault, forgot to attach it!

    But I just found some more irritating settings in my gg-files, I think I have to check them first - so consider this thread to be answered for now...
