LP87561-Q1: Thermal Derating

Part Number: LP87561-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PEET-GUI

Hello,

Can you please advise how I can get thermal derating data for this part? Seems there is no datasheet or Webench information availible.

Regards,

George

  • Hi George,

Thermal information is given in the datasheet here:

Thermals for LP8756x-Q1 can also be calculated with the PEET-GUI (PMIC Efficiency Estimator Tool) .

    Best Regards,
    Sarah

  • Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your information. How ever, it seems none of two tables or PEET-GUI indicating the LP8756x-Q1 thermal degrading info, which should be similar to curves reflecting the output current degrading vs temperature increasing. Could you please check this?

    Thanks,

    George

  • Hi George,

Sarah is currently out of office on international business travel, please expect a delay in her response. Thank you for your patience!

  • Hi George,

Thank you for your patience. Apologies that I misunderstood your initial request.

We do not provide specific thermal degrading information for this device.

Maximum current or each rail is consistent across the qualified temperature range, -40C to 125C.
Absolute maximum for each individual rail is 4 A, and may be less depending on the current limit settings.
Please refer to the respective Technical Reference Manual (TRM) of your specific OPN for current limit restrictions.

    Best Regards,
    Sarah
